- What does the National Park Bike Marathon mean to you personally?
The National Park Bike Marathon is my home race - my absolute favourite race! Riding a race in this fantastic landscape is simply a privilege. I appreciate every cheer along the route and enjoy being recognised and encouraged from all sides. The cheers motivate me enormously, they almost make me forget the suffering over the last few metres.
- What motivates you to give it your all every year?
It's great to see how this event is supported by the public and how many helpers volunteer year after year. The joy and enthusiasm is automatically transferred to the participants and this is reflected in the great atmosphere on race day and around the event. This motivates me again and again to do my bit for this event.
- What motivates you to be part of this great event/team?
The bike marathon only works thanks to the very well-coordinated organising committee and the commitment of the volunteers. Team spirit is very important here and you can rely on everyone. Working like this is fun and motivating.
- What do you do when you're not organising the National Park Bike Marathon?
Then I thrive in my new role as a mum and try to pursue my hobbies (biking and cross-country skiing) on the side.
